Ali's feild trip to the Zoo

Friday was Ali's first Kindergarten feild trip. We all got to go to the Zoo for the day, well it only ended up to be 2 hours by the time the slow buses got their and when we had to get back to get loaded up on the bus. The kids had a great time, and Ali was so excited that we got to walk around with Lilly, Quintin and Isabella.

The sweet Gorilla, he kept picking his nose, but every time the camera flash light would start to shine he would immediately move his arm and stare at us.

Isabella, Quintin, Lilly and Ali

It was such a beautiful day. It was so much fun to be outside.

Ali monkeyin' around with the monkeys.

Of course the parkk was the highlight of the day.

Ali on the big elephant. She was so excited to sit on his trunk, and then after was so disapointed, I think that she must have thought he was going to take her on a ride or something.
We can't wait until the next feild trip. We will be off to Wheeler Farm.

My Little Mud Cat

Ali had her first two baseball games last week. She did awesome and is quite a good batter.
The first game that they played, Ali's team played all of her friends from school. I was worried that she would get upset that she was not on their team, but she did really good and hit the ball with a pitch every time it was her turn and she never needed the T. She was so proud of that.

Ready to catch the ball. She has not quite got down how to catch the ball in the air, but she can catch it great if it is rolling to her.

Saturday

Saturday morning started out with a beauty makeover as Ali calls it for Emily. Ali made her up like Snow White. This included about 15 clips in her hair, lip gloss pretty much all over her entire face, and about a gallon of Matt's cologne. Emily sat and went along with every minute of it and was so proud of herself when Ali was all done with her.

The two crazy girls. I guess they have to entertain themselves somehow while I do chores and get ready for the day.

The lovely clips in the hair.
Later that day we took the girls to Boondocks. Matt and Ali got to ride the go-karts while Emily and I watched them and took pictures.
After the carts we headed inside to the arcade. Ali hit the JACKPOT on this ball game that you time the ball falling into different holes worth different points. The Jackpot was 400 tickets. By the end of our time there she had racked up 1020 tickets. The girls got a supe bounce bouncy ball, a bracelet, a Cinderella key chain, some nerds and Ali got this marvelous huge pink diamond ring. Of course after Boondocks we went to Sams and she lost the ring in the store. She was crushed and balled as we were walking through the store trying to find it. Lets just say it made some kid very happy that day.

Ali and Emily with their 400 tickets coming out of the machine.

Do you think that she will be disapointed if she doesn't get that many tickets next time we go? Of Course!

It's That Time Again - Lagoon

Yes, Bulgy the whale is still our first stop when we walk into Lagoon. I keep thinking that as Ali gets older she will want to skip it and go to something else, but I guess she has to ride it since she thinks that Emily should, but she just will not.

Ali and Lex waiting in line for The Music Express.

The whole gang on the ride. Lex, Ali, Matt, Isabel and Shane. Ali's face is priceless.

My sweet bear loves her baby boats. I really think that she could go on this over and over all day long, and Ali will not even ride them anymore.

Emily excited to be on the Merry-Go-Round. She loves it.

On the second ride she was so happy that she could get this dog. She calls it Ang. The whole time that she was on the ride she would talk about Jake, Jaime, Ang and Sully.

All geared up for the rockets. We kind of had a Lagoon party last weekend. The Jorgensens came with us and the Hadleys met us there too. Emily is riding with Camden and Ali is with Kira.

My sweet little Ali is all grown up. She is demanding to go on every ride by herself. We went again this weekend and Matt took her on the Jumping Dragon and made him sit in the car behind her. So she rode around in the car all by herself. I am not really appreciating this independent phase. Hopefully it passes soon.

Ali and Lex on Puff.

Ali and Lex after getting soaked on Odyssey. Ali does not look too thrilled. At least it was a hot day so she got cooled off a little bit.
Last But Not Least

Matt and Shane
These two special friends make going to Lagoon quite the experience and there is always a good laugh to be had. Here are the two lovebirds on Odyssey.

On the weekend Matt and Shane were having chair dip contests while everyone was eating big fat ice cream cones and churros. They could care less who saw them or was watching, as long as they were having fun with each other. I am a little worried what they are going to be like when we go to Lagoon-A-Beach together.

Rock Star!

Ali had a birthday party last week that was an Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Chippetes party. She was so excited. They were supposed to go dressed up as a rock star. This is what we came up with. She thought that she looked spectacular.

While at the party they got to play a Wii game called Just Dance. She raved about it and said that we have got to get it. They also got to decorate their own paper guitar that she is still insisting on hanging in her room. She is now asking me every day how many more days she has until it is going to be her birthday.

Ali's First Baseball Practice

Ali had her first baseball practice 2 weeks ago, yes, it is pathetic that I am that far behind in sharing photos and news. Anyway, she did excellent, she even seemed to love the fact that she was the only girl on the team. She would walk around talking to this boy named Colton with the biggest grin on her face. After the game she said to me "mom, why do I get along with boys much better than I don girls?" I guess we are a lot alike. I can not believe that the girl drama is already starting in Kindergarten.

So far she has had two practices, and their first game is May 4th. Last week at practice it was her turn to bat and after she hit the ball she just stood on home plate and everyone started yelling at her to run. The poor girl had no idea what to do after she hit the ball. I guess Matt and I better start teaching her the rules of the game, because at practice they just think that the kids already know how to play. Lets just say that the games will be rather interesting.

Trouble

On Monday when we got home from St. George, the girls were so excited to be home and be able to play with their friend Adria. I was busy unpacking and was just happy that they were not bothering me to entertain them. I kept hearing laughter from the play room, and then shortly after Ali came runnin out, "Mom, mom, come and look at Emily." I was expecting something not good, but this is what I see when I find her. All three of the girls were laughing so hard and Emily was not very appreciative that I washed it off. So, needless to say, I am just glad that they did not get into worse trouble when they were unsupervised.

St. George Fun

Last weekend was our trip to St. George for Ali's 3rd Dance Competition. We had such a good time, it was so nice just being lazy and relaxing at the pool. We even got to see Lynn and Rick, and Granny shared some good laughs with us on the way down and the way home.

The kids were in heaven being able to swim. This is where we were the whole trip.

Emiy was crazy in the water. She would not let us touch her, she wanted to do everything herself. So saturday I went to the big K and got her this silly penguin floatie. It was awesome, she totally cruised around the pool all by herself and felt very independent.

Ali chilaxin' on Nana's floatie. She is into the whole "Peace" word these days. I think that she got it from hearing Matt say "Peace" when he hangs up from talking to his friends on the phone. She says it in the funniest voice that is really deep, it frightens me when she catches me off guard because she does it so loud and deep. She is quite the comedian these days.

Ali's dance team won 1st for Hip Hop, 1st for Jazz & 1st for Lyrical! Our studio won Best Overall Performance for the entire competition! They did so good, and they just get better and better each competition that they do.

Here is a video of the girls swimming after their mermaid dolls. Also Emily always like to roll over onto her back after she got to where she was going. She has a hard time rolling back over onto her stomach, so there is a little bit of panic in this video also.

April Snow

It snowed a but load here on Monday. Matt, Daniel and Shelby took the girls to Meuller Park Jr. to go sledding. They even mad a couple snowmen while they were there.

Ali went down time after time and did not care when she would fall off of the sled.

Easter Eggs

Ali and Emily colored Easter eggs on Friday after school. Why is it that this activity always makes me so tense. I guess with a 2 year old it can't be expected to go as cleanly as hoped.

Ali loved it and was such a good girl. She kept wiping up every little drop of coloring that dropped because she knew that it was driving me nuts. Emily on the other hand would just wave the egg around and fling the crap out of the cup. I thought that I was going to have a mental breakdown by the time we were done.

Just to add to the funniness of the day. Ali has been really full of energy lately, and quite frankly driving me nuts. She constantly has to be doing something. So as soon as we were done with the eggs, she says to me, "Mom, lets go to the park." I then explain to her that I have to clean up all the coloring, and mess from the eggs and that we can't go right now, but later. So right after that she says "Mom, lets make banana muffins." So of course I explain it again, and do you think that she ever got the clue, she just kept asking me if we could do these totally random things. The whole rest of the day went like that. Wish me luck with spring break. I think that she is having a hard time with the fact that even though I am home with her, I am still taking care of 6 kids and I can't just drop everything all the time to do random craft projects. If anyone has any suggestions for anything that she may enjoy doing by herself, please share with me.

Lovin' The Sun

When the weather was nice a couple of weeks ago the girls wanted to go outside and lay on the picnic blanket. Emily enjoyed it so much that she fell asleep with Ali's pet rock that she had found at the park. Ali was nice enough to go out and put the sunglasses on her so her eyes would not get sunburnt.

Hopefully we will have many more of these days to come.

The Baseball Queen

Ali is really into playing baseball right now. She is actually quite good for just playing with this big blue bat. She can knock it out over the fence of the little common area. Emily laughs when she does it and goes after the ball. Matt calls her our little ball shagger.

We signed Ali up for baseball and hopefully it will start sometime this month. She needs lots of activities to expell her energy, I don't know how I am going to keep the child entertained during the summer. I may go crazy.

Disney on Ice with Ali

Ali all ready for our big date at the Disney on Ice. She was so excited that just me and her got to go. She was really cute about the whole thing, she was also worried about her sister and kept asking me if I though that Em was having fun with dad.

The Cars were the first ones out. It was pretty cool how they had all of them out on the ice driving around.

Lightning McQueen.

The Little Mermaid bunch.

Little Mermaid and Prince Eric.

We had also never seen The Lion King, but it was pretty neat.

Tinkerbell and all of her pixie boys.

I think that Fair Mary is my favorite.

The finale was really pretty with all the flowers and the bright Tinkerbell colors.
