My Little Dancers

Ali and Emily both started dance yesterday. They are so excited to have something fun to do during the day.

The Party!

Emily had a Strawberry Shortcake Themed Birthday party on Saturday. She had been looking forward to it for such a long time. She felt so big since she was going to be having a "friend" party like Ali. All of her best buds came and partied with her making fruit loop necklaces, playing musical chairs and freeze dance, and playing in the backyard.

Emiy ready to blow out her 3 candles.

Isabel, Ali, Emily and Lex ready to get the party started. As well as Ali showing off her fruit loop necklace. All of the kids had their eaten by the end of the party.

Present time! Em got so many fun things, including some really neat Strawberry Shortcake toys. I forgot how good the shortcake dolls smell. It brought me back to my childhood days.

Emily invited Jadon, Miah, Lex, Isabel, Cooper, Cailin, and Macy.

Happy 3rd Birthday to Emily!

Friday was Emily's 3rd Birthday. She was so excited for it this year. Ali is sure making sure that she knows what she should be excited for, and also what she should not be.
Everyone had to work on her actual Birthday, so we just hung out and did extra fun things during the day. Here she is demonstrating how old she is.
And here she is with her lunch of choice, PBJ's and Cheeto's.
Emily, Ali, Lex and Isabel all checking out her first present. A nice big wading pool.

Emily loved playing in the pool. She splashed around in there all day. She would play for awhile when come in and get dressed, then they would go out and walk aroun in it in their clothes, and then come in and want to put their suits back on again.

It was killing her all day to open up her presents, so we let her open three on her actual day, and then we saved the rest for her first friend party that we had on Saturday. Those pictures will come tomarrow.

Hazen Pictures

For Ali's dance this year all the girls got to go and get their Team Pictures at Hazen Photography.
It was so fun. Ali thought that it was the neatest thing ever. The ladies there did her hair and makeup, they even got to change their outfits a couple of times. Ali did fabulous and loved every minute of it, but Emily of course, our little "stone cold" would not even crack a smile. We did not get one picture with her smiling in it. Here are some of our favorites.

Lagoon A Beach

We have been to Lagoon A Beach three times so far this year, and the girls, if possible, seem to love it more and more every time that we go.

Emily loves to swing on the swings and go up and down the slides in kiddie land over and over.

Ali thinks that she is really neat because she is now tall enough to ride on all of the waterslides. Her favorite is the big tube slide that has all the different pools in it.

Emily is a maniac, and I am loving her smiles these days.

Emily and Nana palling around at Lagoon. We love it when Nana comes with us and hangs out.

Year End Dance Recital

Ali's big year end dance recital was last Friday. It was so great to see them perform all their dances again. It is amazing to see how much she has improved over the year. Next year will be even funner with Emily dancing as well.
Here is their ballet dance, this is the first time that they performed it this year.

Cars That Go Boom was Ali and Emily's favorite dance. It is hillarious because Emiy knows all the words for the entire song. Ali is in a hot pink outfit.

Ed Hardy Shoes was their Hip-Hop dance. They won first place for this dance at every competition this year.

This next dance is "Dream" Ali is so excited that she got to keep the pillow from this dance. It has become her latest side kick to cuddle with.

All of the comp teams danced in this next dance. Ali is the one that comes out of the left if you are looking at the screen. She is carrying the trophy.

The highlight of the dance recital this year was the "Dad's Dance." All of the girls dads had to go and practice for two weeks to do this fabulous dance for us. Matt is wearing a white bandana on his head and he has a blue Jazz Jersey on. He is kind of hidden in the back of the crowd, but he does come out for a little duet with our friend Levi.

Swimming at the Pool

Emily loves the water. I think that my kids would literally live at the pool if we could. It is so nice to have it so close, and a place to go for free. It sure makes for some enjoyable hot summer days.

Ali picked up swimming right where she left off last year, and I must say that she has even gotten better. She is so crazy and always making us laugh these days with her impersonations of people and things. The picture of her with her thumb on her mouth and pulling her ear is from Robin Hood. Matt has gotten the girls to like the movies that Matt watched when he was younger. Robin Hood is one, along with The Sword in the Stone.

Emily swims all over the big pool with her little chickadee vest on. She thinks that she is pretty good, and has no fear of the water at all.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a pretty boring weekend. Matt had to work so it started out with me and the girls just goofing around and being lazy. Then on Monday Matt was off, so we had some fun with Mr. Cooper, Fritz and Brittany.
We went to the Duck Park in Layton.
Emily was so excited when she saw the park. She ran like crazy. She is so funny, she runs leaning forward slightly with her arms sticking out behind her.

The girls love hanging upside down on the monkay bars.

They also like to go really high on the swings. Emily is even loving under dogs.

Some sweet poses.

The girls and Cooper have so much fun together.

Ali found this lovely duck feather that she was so proud of. Unfortunately, I lost it later during the evening. Of course we went through a whole loaf of bread, and the girls were complaining that we did not have enough. Coopie had the right idea and brought four loaves.
