Matt's Mustache!

So the latest joke around our house lately is Matt's mustache. Him and some guys at work are growing them for a big joke. I personally can not stand it, but Ali and her friends tell him that they love it and that it looks cute on him. The other day she was drawing and drew this picture of Matt, Notice what she added!

Ali's Christmas Dance Recital!

Ali had her Christmas dance recital on Saturday. She did such a great job, and was so excited for the whole thing. She made me put lip gloss and glitter on her so that she sparkled like her tutu. Her class danced to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. She really enjoyed wearing the reindeer ears, and had to wear them the rest of the day.

Ali, All ready to go to the recital.

These next pictures were of Ali when she went to dance practice on Thursday night, I just thought that they were pretty cute. Ali is doing such a great job at dance this year. She has improved so much that her teacher wants her to be on a competition team next year.

Facebreaker Queen Rises Again!

Ever since we had to take Facebreaker back to Blockbuster Ali has literally been crying to get it back. So today Matt took her to rent it again. Tonight she has been in facebreaker heaven. It is so funny because she does not even really pay attention when she plays it. She walks around and looks out the window while she pushes buttons, but she still manages to win me every time. Her favorite character is Kiriko, this girl does a dance before each fight, and Ali does the dance every time as well. It is rather priceless because she is insisting that we get the game for Dad's birthday, but she really wants it for herself.

Mood Swings!

For the most part Emily is a very happy child. Lately though her moods will change quite abruptly. Last night we were in the bath and I was able to catch her mood swings in action.

Here she is very happy playing with Ali in the tub,

Happy Still - with messed up hair thanks to Ali.

Laughing at Sister

Starting to Turn!

And now here she is 5 seconds later totally freaking out.

San Francisco

This last weekend Matt and I went on our first trip without the children. My mom was nice enough to watch the girls for us so we could get away and go to the Jets game to see Brett Favre play in a game. Matt has wanted to do this for years, and we finally got to do it.
This was our favorite place of the whole trip. It was at the Cheescake Factory on top of Macy's overlooking Union Square. It was so neat to sit outside and eat and look at the gorgeous scenery.

This is Alamo Square, It is like in the beginning of Full House when they show the big open park and the row of houses.

The trees there were really neat. They were really tall and the leafs were at the very top and they would bend in the neatest ways.

We rode the bus and the BART Train alot.

This is their City Hall building. I thought that it was really neat looking.

Saturday night we went to Alcatraz, it was pretty neat, but really cold.

They had three cells that had these fake head and bodies made up. Apparently when there was a big escape some of the prisoners made these so that in the night the guards would think that they were still in there beds, but they had really snuck out the holes in the wall they dug with spoons. It was neat to see the holes in the wall, and crazy to think that they could have really snuck out in them.

These are the apartments that the workers of Alcatraz lived in with their families.

A view of the island from the ferry.

This is coit tower.

People would perform and do weird things on the streets of Fishermans Wharf.
This dog, cat and mouse thing was really weird. The people would just stand their with their freak shows and want you to tip them.

This guy had his dog dressed up like a reindeer. He was pretty cool.

The tree in Union Square.

The Macy's was awesome, it was seven stories tall. Then the Cheescake Factory was on the very top.

Matt was so excited for the Football game. It was really fun to go to, even though the Jets lost.

His man Brett Favre!

We also went to the Golden Gate Bridge, and Lombard - or the Crooked Street. The crooked street was one of our favorites also, but our camera does not take good pictures at night, so we didn't really get any that you can even see.

The Facebreaker Queen!

Matt and I rented a video game called Facebreaker - I know it sounds bad, but I guess it could be worse. It is a boxing game. Little did we know that Ali would be obsessed with it. She likes to play it before bed, I guess because Matt and I play it at night sometimes. Anyway, last night she was playing it and fell asleep sitting up in the chair. It was the funniest thing ever. I was feeding Emily some oatmeal and all of the sudden I heard no noise coming from the TV - so I walk over and Ali was fast asleep with the controller in her hands.

Emily, still wide awake at 9:30 at night. I think that she thought that her and I were going to party while Ali was asleep. It seemed like as soon as she knew that Ali was asleep she got a second wind, and was wild as can be.
