Handcart Days Parade

This year we had the pleasure to go to the parade with the Heieie's. It was so fun for the girls to get to hang out with Abby and Kate.

Before the parade started we tried to keep as cool as possible by hanging out under the trees and holding frozen bottles. The girls also found this cute little chihahua dog that they were calling "Taco." It was really nice they had some pre-parade amusement.

It was kind of funny because Ryan and Matt were sitting off to the side by themselves, it was as if they were together instead of with all of us. Ryan was really picture happy, I am sure he took a picture of every parade entry. Granny was an extra special addition to the parade this year. She had her firecracker wave down, and looked really hip up on that parade float. She is one rockin' Granny. There were also these miniature ponies that were all "pinked" out. They were my favorite thing in the whole parade. I wanted to take one home.

The girls got a ton of candy. As you can see they were stained blue from all the taffy that was consumed. They would jump up and down as the floats would go by and see what they could get thrown their way. I was even lucky enought to get and Addiction shirt thrown right into my lap.
It was a great time, and we think that it should be a tradition to do every year with the Heieie's.
