Fun with Jake and Jaime

Last Sunday we went over to Jake and Jaime's. The girls had the best time playing in the leaves with Jaime and the dogs, it is all that Ali can talk about. The leaves were the next best thing to snow. They were making leave angels, and throwing them, Angie and Sully were even getting in on the action.

The dogs and the girls were fighting over who got to get in the pile of leaves.

After raking, the girls had some hot tub time with Jaime. They love swimming in their pool, as Ali would say. Jaime was such a good sport and caught Emily as she would jump with no warning, and she braved all the splashing from Ali. I really don't think she was planning on getting as wet as she did.

Ali loved sitting in the corner of the tub where all the jets came out. She would sit there and giggle really loud.

Jaime helping Emily swim across the hot tub.

Ali snuggling with her 2 best friends Angie and Sully.

Sweet Pumpkins!

Thanks to Peggy and Leo we had some sweet pumpkins this year. They were sweet enough to give us pumpkins from their garden. The girls love them, and rant and rave about how sweet they are to have given them to us.

Emily with her favorite pumpkin. It is just her size and has a cute little curved stem.

Are you really sick?

This is a picture that I took of Ali in the morning before she left for school. It is also the same day that I picked her up and she was burning up with a fever of 102.

Book Worms

Becky, Jadon and Miah came over for a play date a while ago. It was so quiet upstairs, and this is where we found Emily and Miah. They had crawled in Ali's bed and were reading books. When we found them they just laughed and thought that they were so funny.

They are really starting to play good together and don't need constant attention from the mothers. Maybe we can finally get some scrapbooking done.

Girls weekend with Dad

Here are a couple of pictures of the girls weekend with Matt. He was so great to watch the girls while my mom and I went to Las Vegas. We had such a good time, but it was so fun to get to come home and see their smiling faces.

They got to meet Lex and Isabel at Lagoon and go on rides with friends. Emily had a great time and actually rode on rides, where as usually she will not.

I can not believe that Emily rode this one, this is the ride that Ali escaped while in motion when she was Emily's age.

Bowling was the highlight of the weekend. Jake and Jaime were so sweet to go with them. The girls love them as much as their own parents.

Thanks everyone for helping the kids and Matt have such a great weekend. They had such a good time and did not even know that their mother was gone.

Star Queen!

Yesterday when I went to pick Ali up at dance she came out screaming "Mom, I won, I won, no one else got one but me." She was so excited because she got the Star Student Award. She said she got it because she shook her hips and smiled the best. This has made her week, she is even taking her star student certificate to school for show and tell.

Cruisin'

Emily is totally thinking that she is neat. She can drive the corvette all by herself this year. It is so funny because she has not mastered the steering part, so she just drives in a big circle. Every now and then she will run into the garbage can, utility box, or the neighbors rose bushes, but she just laughs, and thank goodness nothing has been ruined, or hurt. When her foot slips off the pedal, she laughs and says "oops." I think that Ali is also liking the fact that Emily can do it by herself as well, she no longer has to take her for really long rides.

Ali's First Ever Sleep Over

Friday night Ali had Olivia over for a sleep over. She was so excited because she has never had a friend sleep over at our house. We had pizza, ice cream cones and watched Monsters Vs. Aliens. The girls also stayed up playing until about 11:00, then of course they wanted to read a zillion stories. Me, being the not so brilliant mother thought that the longer they stay up, the longer they will sleep in the next morning. Needless to say, that did not happen. I heard them giggling in Ali's room around 8:00.

Hooray - For Ice Cream!

Emily thoroughly enjoying her cone.

The girls very intently watching "Susan."

All ready for bed. Emily thought that she was such a big girl hanging out with the big kids. It did not last long though. The minute I turned out the lights she started freaking out.

Ali all snuggled up with Gloe.

Silly Olivia wanted to sleep with Ali's blow up pink flamingo that we got at Dollar Tree. Whatever makes her happy I guess.

Frightmares!

Thursday night we took the girls and Ali's friend Olivia to Frightmares at Lagoon.
Ali felt so big and thought that it was so cool to get to go on the rides with a friend instead of Matt or I. The kids loved these towers of Pumpkins as you walk in.
Strikin' a freaky pose in front of the hearse.

They had the whole ride to themselves. There was hardly anyone there that night, so it was awesome because we did not ever have to wait in a line.

Ali and Olivia sat in their own little train car all by themselves. Matt, Emily and I sat in the one directly across from them. My little baby is growing up so much.

Spooky eyes!

Em giving loves to Matt. She is so cuddly lately and gives kisses over and over.

Ali going through the pitch dark tunnel.

Emily all bundled up on the boats. She did not know what to think of her gloves, but she was a good sport and kept them on the whole time.

Emily horsining around while Dad, Ali and Olivia were on the Music Express.

Silly Girls.

It was so cold, but we had a blast. Poor Emily looked like a Marshmallow Man in her parka. It was really quite funny.
