Festival of Trees

Ali had her first of three Christmas performances on Saturday at the Festival of Trees.

All the girls stretching out before the big dance.

More stretching.

There was a lot of waiting. All the girls did so good just sitting around waiting for an hour before it was even their time to perform.

Class picture by the trees. All the girls were striking a pose.

Waiting in their straight line to go out on stage.

And last, but not least - The Dance. Wednesday we have to go up to Weber State where they are going to perform at the basketball half time show.

My Baseball Girl

Ali is so excited to play T-ball. She should hopefully start playing at the beginning of April. She is really hoping that she will be on her friends Quintin and Jamin's team. Hopefully she will not be too disapointed if she is not.

iCarly Mania!

Ali's birthday party theme this year was iCarly.  She had her friends over for spahgettin tacos, a little bit of Just Dance and a whole lot of craziness.
Paige, Cayla, Lauren and Ali enjoying their weird, yet delicious spaghetti tacos.  I have to admit, I thought the making them would be the biggest waste of time, but they turned out to be a really big hit.

Getting ready to blow out the candles on her ever so lovely cake.

It was so fun this year to have Abby, Kate and Ellie at the birthday celebrations this year.  We wish that it could happen every year.

Ali got a hula skirt from Nana and she loved it.  She immediately put it on and started to dance.  I feel like a complete failure in photo taking for Ali's party.   I got absolutely nothing.
The kids just do not hold still long enough to get anything good.
Hopefully next year I will figure something out to capture some more memories.

Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair!

Emily chose to have a Rapunzel themed birthday party this year.  She was so excited that all of her best buds could come dressed up as princesses.  Lets just say that it was crazy to have that many little princesses under one roof.  It was pure craziness, but oh so fun.

Emily with her little neighbor friends, Ashley and Adria before the party started.

Let the crafting begin!
All of the girls made a necklace with the sun medallion on it to take home.
Cute Isabel patiently putting on each bead.

Lex, Matt and Cayla, this was the cool, big kid table.

Princess Emily opening her presents.  I love this picture because it show how delighted she was.

And wait, who could that be at the door?

It was none other than Rapunzel herself.

She read a story to the girls, sang them some songs, taught them how to dance,
and they even got to make a little crown.

During the dancing part of the party Emily got to dance with her prince charming, Dad.

What kind of party would it be without a little dancing.

I loved it because Lex totally was into it and was such a good sport.  He was the parties prince charming.

For one of the games, Rapunzel gave an object to one of the kids and they would hid it.  In the meantime Emily was standing with her eyes closed, really tight waiting to find the object.  Sometime in between standing patiently and the picture below, she fell over and knocked her head on the edge of the couch leg.  It was so traumatizing.  She got the biggest goose egg and started bawling.  Sweet Ellie was so concerned about her and wanted to make sure she was okay.  So, needless to say, that kind of put a damper on the rest of our time with Rapunzel.  Emily sat on Matt's lap and watched everyone play the last game.

Princess Ellie looked rather fab in her self designed Ellie original dress.

To end the party, all of the princesses and prince charmings got to take their picture with Rapunzel.

The whole crazy  bunch.

Emily and her best buddy Halle from dance.

Lex and Tadin putting one last boyish touch  on the party.  Some Transformers action.

At the end of the party we were all going to let off some balloons with little lights inside.  Lets just say that fizzled.  It was not dark enough when everyone left so Emily, Ali, Cayla and Miah set off their baloons when it was dark enough.  It was so cute becuase they were singing one of the Rapunzel songs as they were walking around outside with their lantern/balloons.  Here is a little video of them singing and letting them go.

Our First Campout of the Season

Over the 4th of July weekend we went camping for the first time this year.  It was a blast, and the girls loved it.  They had contests to see who could pick the most flowers and collect them for Jaime and Sophia.

Peggy and Leo came up for a little bit and Peggy was even brave enough to ride on Jake's dirt bike with him.

Getting ready to watch the fireworks.  We had a pretty good view, but it is amazing at how small they look when you are above them, instead of below them.

Matt and Daniel hamming it up for the camera, I even captured one of  "The Fat Face."  Which is an inside joke of ours thanks to an old friend Clint.

Daniel, Ashley, Shan and Matt.

Emily loved waking up in the morning and being able to just be outside playing in her jammies, and not getting her hair fixed.  They were so dirty, it was disgusting.

This is what I woke up to the first morning in the tent.
How can I tell that face to lay back down and go back to sleep.

Enjoying the beautiful morning!

These are the sunsets that we are enjoying every time we go up in the buggy.

Emily being really cool, wearing her sunglasses at night.
