Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair!

Emily chose to have a Rapunzel themed birthday party this year.  She was so excited that all of her best buds could come dressed up as princesses.  Lets just say that it was crazy to have that many little princesses under one roof.  It was pure craziness, but oh so fun.

Emily with her little neighbor friends, Ashley and Adria before the party started.

Let the crafting begin!
All of the girls made a necklace with the sun medallion on it to take home.
Cute Isabel patiently putting on each bead.

Lex, Matt and Cayla, this was the cool, big kid table.

Princess Emily opening her presents.  I love this picture because it show how delighted she was.

And wait, who could that be at the door?

It was none other than Rapunzel herself.

She read a story to the girls, sang them some songs, taught them how to dance,
and they even got to make a little crown.

During the dancing part of the party Emily got to dance with her prince charming, Dad.

What kind of party would it be without a little dancing.

I loved it because Lex totally was into it and was such a good sport.  He was the parties prince charming.

For one of the games, Rapunzel gave an object to one of the kids and they would hid it.  In the meantime Emily was standing with her eyes closed, really tight waiting to find the object.  Sometime in between standing patiently and the picture below, she fell over and knocked her head on the edge of the couch leg.  It was so traumatizing.  She got the biggest goose egg and started bawling.  Sweet Ellie was so concerned about her and wanted to make sure she was okay.  So, needless to say, that kind of put a damper on the rest of our time with Rapunzel.  Emily sat on Matt's lap and watched everyone play the last game.

Princess Ellie looked rather fab in her self designed Ellie original dress.

To end the party, all of the princesses and prince charmings got to take their picture with Rapunzel.

The whole crazy  bunch.

Emily and her best buddy Halle from dance.

Lex and Tadin putting one last boyish touch  on the party.  Some Transformers action.

At the end of the party we were all going to let off some balloons with little lights inside.  Lets just say that fizzled.  It was not dark enough when everyone left so Emily, Ali, Cayla and Miah set off their baloons when it was dark enough.  It was so cute becuase they were singing one of the Rapunzel songs as they were walking around outside with their lantern/balloons.  Here is a little video of them singing and letting them go.
