Last week we went boating for my birthday. It was an absolutely perfect day. There were only a couple boats out on the lake and it was like glass all day.
The water was so cold since the weather had not been very warm for the week before we went. It literally felt like ice when I jumped in. Ali was a good sport, and spent a ton of time in the water. Her and Matt love to swim around to the front of the boat and scare my mom who is usually up there sleeping, or looking at the newspaper.
I was shocked that Emily got in the water with it being so cold and all. She had a blast out there with Matt and Ali.
She would splash the water and just laugh over and over.
After a couple of hours Ali got bored so we went to Ellie's beach. This is what she kept calling it since she played at the beach with Abby, Kate and Ellie. They had a blast making sand castles, swimming, burrying each other and skipping rocks. I think Ali may think that we will have to do this every time.
This was Matt's first time skiing this year. He has not been able to ski or wakeboard until now because of his hurt ankle. He did great, and got up on his 2nd try, which was a lot better than I. The rope kept slipping right out of my hands, Lets just say I need to work out my arms and hands before next years boating season rolls around, until then, I will just stick to riding the tube with Ali.
Ali was so brave this year, she went on the tube all by herself for the first time. She looked so tiny out there bopping around in it by herself.

Oh- we miss you guys. Cute pictures. Ali was so brave to ride the tube all by herself. I am glad you guys could have a fun day at the lake.
I love how happy Emily is there! It is precious, the girls really did love the sand, I am sorry we have started something there! The wind is kind of wicked on the beach too, I felt as though we ate a lot of sand with our lunch!
Way to go Ali - all alone in the tube! She's brave!
I need to go back to that beach.
