Swimming at the Pool

Emily loves the water. I think that my kids would literally live at the pool if we could. It is so nice to have it so close, and a place to go for free. It sure makes for some enjoyable hot summer days.

Ali picked up swimming right where she left off last year, and I must say that she has even gotten better. She is so crazy and always making us laugh these days with her impersonations of people and things. The picture of her with her thumb on her mouth and pulling her ear is from Robin Hood. Matt has gotten the girls to like the movies that Matt watched when he was younger. Robin Hood is one, along with The Sword in the Stone.

Emily swims all over the big pool with her little chickadee vest on. She thinks that she is pretty good, and has no fear of the water at all.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a pretty boring weekend. Matt had to work so it started out with me and the girls just goofing around and being lazy. Then on Monday Matt was off, so we had some fun with Mr. Cooper, Fritz and Brittany.
We went to the Duck Park in Layton.
Emily was so excited when she saw the park. She ran like crazy. She is so funny, she runs leaning forward slightly with her arms sticking out behind her.

The girls love hanging upside down on the monkay bars.

They also like to go really high on the swings. Emily is even loving under dogs.

Some sweet poses.

The girls and Cooper have so much fun together.

Ali found this lovely duck feather that she was so proud of. Unfortunately, I lost it later during the evening. Of course we went through a whole loaf of bread, and the girls were complaining that we did not have enough. Coopie had the right idea and brought four loaves.

Wheeler Farm

Last week was Ali's class field trip to Wheeler Farm. Matt, Emily and I got to go with her class, it was so much fun. The kids loved it.

Mrs. Wheeler, Ali's teacher is retiring this year so we tried to get lots of pictures of all the kids together for a book for her. I don't think that we ever got the whole class.

Emily was so brave, she touched most of the animals that we got to see. She loved the cute little baby pigs and the bunny. Ali looked like she was having fun on the wagon ride, but when she got back she said that it was so boring all she got to see were trees.

Charlie bit my finger - again !

The girls are obsessed with this video. They want to watch it all day, and they are starting to say it to each other. It is so funny because Emily can say it just like the boy. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
