The Latest!

So, we are so proud of Ali. Last Saturday she tried out to be on the Tiny Tot Competition team for dance, but it turns out that they thought she was good enough to be on the next team up, so she is going to be on the Mini Team this year. She is going to be the youngest on the team. We will see how it goes, and if it is too much for her put her back in Tiny Tots.

My two little sweeties! If only Emily would smile for the camera.

There we go, we got a nice cheesy grin.

Strike a Pose!

I thought this picture was so cute. Emily is always laughing at everything that Ali says or does. She wants to be just like her big sister. Notice that Emily is even copying Ali's pursed lip face.

The 3 Musketeers! Ali, Emily and Isabel. And yes, those are panties that Emily is wearing. We are no longer having to wear diapers during the day, only at night. She is doing excellent.

Emily's 2nd Birthday Party

Emily had a great birthday party, thanks to everyone who came over to party with us. For the longest time whenever you would ask her what she wanted she would say a party. So everyone made her wish come true.

Emily blowing out the candles again. She loved it when we sang Happy Birthday to her, so we did it a couple time. Ali was such a good big sister and let her do it all by herself. She just offered some coaching.

The cake. I decided to make a homemade cake this year and it turned out pretty decent.

Emily with her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse centerpeice. She loved it and was in such a wonderful mood the whole night, even from not having a nap and being at Lagoon all day.

Emily going down the water slide all by herself. She was a maniac, she did not want any help going up the stairs. She would walk up all by herself and then I would catch her at the bottom.

Emily's 1st Haircut!

The other day we took Emiy to Cookie Cutters for her 1st haircut by someone other than me. This is how it went.
She sat totally still and silent in her little pink poodle car while the crabby lady cut her hair. I was so worried that she would squirm and cry like she does when I try and comb her hair that we would end up leaving with a crooked haircut, but she did excellent. She looked around for Ali every now and then, but for the most part she just sat and watched her movie that she picked out.

Summer Days

We have had a couple nice days in between a million rainy cold days. We have been able to go down and swim at the pool. Ali is totally nuts again this year, and Emily thinks that she is just as big as sister and copies her every move. She will NOT wear her life jacket this year, but at least she will walk around with a floatie.

My two little posers.

The other day Emily took her shoe off while we were at Lagoon. I told her to put it back on when she was sitting in the stroller and this is how it went back on.

Emily and Miah hanging out at Lagoon while Matt, Ali and Jadon were on the Music Express.

I don't know how those little kids can handle the rides they go on. I can't even handle them anymore.

Ali and Matt on Ladybug Bop. Ali was a little nervous, hence the face.

Matt and I took the girls to this park that still has a merry-go-round the other day for a surprise. I think that they really did not appreciate the good old merry-go-round like their mother used too.
So much for the surprise. When we left Ali said to me, "mom was that supposed to be our surprise."

Happy Birthday Emily!

Happy 2nd Birthday to our sweet Mrs. Jane. We can not believe that you are already 2 years old, time has flown by so quickly. By the age of two you have grown up so much. The biggest milestone being that you are for the most part Potty Trained. Last Monday you just decided that you were going to be like your big sister Ali and go on the big girl potty just like her. Ever since that day you have gone all day without wearing diapers. I only put them on you when you fall asleep. Otherwise you want nothing to do with them. We are so proud of you. We love every moment of your cute giggles, sweet kisses, hugs and your cute little cheesy grin.

We would also like to share with everyone your nicknames, since you have so many of them. Some of our favorites are Baby Bear, Barracuda, Baby Elephant, Chubby Checkers and many more. We can't wait to have many more nicknames and adventures with you the coming year. Thanks for being such a great daughter and little sister. You are Ali's best friend

WE LOVE YOU!

Low Rider!

The other night Ali and Emily were out playing with their friend Adria. This is what I found when I got outside. Emily's pants had totally falled down off of her waist and she was going gangsta style. She thought that it was so funny, she became quite the spectacle with her friends laughing and running around her to look at her bum.

Granny's Birthday Party

So, I am finally getting around to posting some pictures from Granny's birthday party. It was such a fun night, and so great to see almost everybody.
Barb, Matt, Ali, Peg, Granny, Emily and Sue.

Ali's Dance Recital 2009

Ali had her end of the year dance recital on Friday. It is always so exciting when this day arrives because all year as they are working on their routine, and when they get their costumes it is all she can talk about is when she gets to dance on the stage at Mom's old school. She also gets really excited for when she gets to get her new trophy. This year they danced to "Cute Little Kitten in a Basket" and "McDonald Rap." She did so great this year, you can really tell that she is getting the hang of things and listening to her teacher this year.
